Steam launches massive summer PC game sale

Valve"s Steam download PC game service has launched its now annual massive summer sale with a ton of its library of PC games getting massive price cuts from now until July 10. In addition there are daily sales deals that feature even deeper price cuts on a selection of games.

Throughout the entire period of the Steam Summer sale there will be sales of game bundles from various publishers. Just a few of the examples include the id Super Pack with over 20 games from id Software on sale for just $29.99, a 85 percent price cut, the Valve Complete Pack with 24 games from Valve for $49.99, a 77 percent price cut, and the THQ Hit Collection, a bundle of 14 THQ published game for $49.99, an 83 percent price cut.

In addition you can get sales from specific game publishers throughout the sales period on Steam. For example all games from Ubisoft are 25 percent off during the sale. All games from Activision are 33 percent off during the Steam Summer Sale and all 2K Games titles are also 33 percent off.

Finally there are today"s one day only sales deals. They include some recently released titles such as Operation Flashpoint Red River for 35 percent off its normal price, The Witcher 2 for 33 percent off, and Back to the Future for 50 percent off. Another deal is for 2010"s multiplayer shooter Lead and Gold which can be purchased for a mere $1.50 for today only. In addition to the sales, Steam is running a daily giveaway where players can play specific games to get achievements and prize tickets which can later be redeemed to get in-game content. Every prize ticket will also enter a Steam user in a content where 100 people will be chosen to get the top 10 games on their Steam wish list for free.
