SteelSeries has been delivering quality gaming products for quite some time and its latest release of the Rival 650 and Rival 710 is no different. The firm is offering two new mice, one wireless, the other wired.
The Rival 650 is the firm"s new wireless mouse offering "next level wireless precision" utilizing Quantum Wireless technology with 1ms of latency and 1,000Hz polling. The mouse can run for more than 24 hours on a single charge but also has the ability for rapid replenishment, giving it ten hours of use from a 15-minute charge. Like its other top-end mice, the Rival 650 also features the company"s TrueMove3+ Optical System which has "low-latency, high IPS, 1-to-1 tracking".
Beyond the actual design of a mouse and how it feels in your hand, weight is also important. The Rival 650 offers a weight tuning system, where the company claims it will allow up to 256 different combinations. As for visuals, you will be able to make use of the SteelSeries Engine software to customize the RGB lighting.
SteelSeries also unveiled the wired Rival 710, touting it as the "world"s most advanced gaming mouse". The mouse offers an OLED display, tactile feedback, RGB lighting with customizations through the SteelSeries Engine, and makes use of the firm"s TrueMove3 optical sensor.
While the OLED display can be used to display logos, it can also play a more functional role by displaying "sensitivity settings, in-game statistics, and button mapping". Perhaps what makes the mouse even more interesting, is its ability to swap out various parts. This isn"t just about removable covers, but items like the sensor and cable can also be replaced, just in case there is a need for repair or upgrades for future components.
The SteelSeries Rival 650 is now available and will cost $119.99, while the Rival 710 will retail for $99.99. You can check your local retailer or head to the source links before for more information and purchase options.
