Even though there are reports that Ashton Kutcher has already begun filming the indie film, Jobs: Get Inspired, a new press release from the makers of the upcoming movie claim that principal photography will actually start in June. While the film won"t have any direct input from Apple, the production company has secured the rights to film in an important real life location in the late Steve Jobs" life.
That would be the childhood home of Jobs in Los Altos, California. The home"s garage was the place where Jobs and Apple"s other co-founder, Steve Wozniak, actually started Apple back in the mid-1970s. As we revealed in our recent interview with the movie"s producer Mark Hulme of Five Star Institute, the film will tell the story of Jobs" life from the early formations of Apple until the year 2000, before the launch of the iPod, iPhone and iPad products.
While Jobs: Get Inspired is not scheduled to be released to theaters until the end of 2012, the movie"s official web site is now up and running. As one might expect, it"s a pretty bare bones affair at this moment, but the logo for the movie shows that the film makers will be spelling the name of the movie as jOBS, as a nod to Apple"s well known branding.
