Sticky Notes 3.1 rolls out to Skip Ahead Insiders with dark mode

Today, Microsoft is rolling out an update for its Sticky Notes app on Windows 10, bringing the version number to 3.1. The main new feature is dark mode, which can be set to reflect your system settings, or you can force it to be light or dark.

It"s rolling out to Insiders that opted into the Skip Ahead subset of the Fast ring, so those on the standard Fast ring aren"t getting it. Presumably, it will roll out to everyone else within a week or two.

Today"s update builds on top of the major Sticky Notes 3.0 release. Version 3.0 added "Charcoal" notes, which was like a dark themed note. Now, the dark mode expands across the app. Most notably though, Sticky Notes 3.0 added support for syncing across devices by signing in with your Microsoft account. Now, you can even sync them with OneNote and view them on your iPhone or Android devices.

If you want to check out Sticky Notes on the Microsoft Store, you can find it here. If you"re on the Skip ahead subset of the Fast ring, the update is live now. Unfortunately, there"s limited space in Skip Ahead, so if you"re not signed up already, you"ll just have to wait for the update to be more widely available.
