If the Xbox One hype ahead of the launch on Friday has you bummed you didn"t pre-order a console many months ago, Amazon has you covered. According to an email sent out to those who wanted to be notified of Xbox One console availability, the company will re-open pre-orders tomorrow.
The email says there is a limited supply of the console and that pre-order will start at 8 a.m. ET on November 20th. While it’s not explicitly clear that these pre-orders will arrive on Friday, the information that is presented does make it appear that these consoles will be delivered on launch day.
This is certainly a last minute pre-order for the console and seeing that Amazon now has more in stock, leads us to believe that Microsoft was able to produce more consoles than they originally anticipated. Traditionally, retailers are allotted a specific quantity of consoles months in advance of a launch and seeing that the pre-orders are opening up so close to launch, makes it appear Microsoft exceeded their production quotas and are stuffing the channels.
This will certainly be good news to those of you who waited until the last minute to purchase your Xbox One or for parents who are trying to find a console to stuff under the tree. Whatever your reason, this will likely be your last chance to pre-order a console before launch.
