It seems like only yesterday when Capcom released the Street Fighter Anniversary Collection. But that was over ten years ago and the firm has just announced the release of its latest compilation, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection.
The previously released Anniversary Collection was a bit more modest, offering only two games, Hyper Street Fighter II and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. But it looks like Capcom is going all out for the 30th anniversary by including a staggering 12 Street Fighter games. You can see the titles that will be included in the image above. The prospect of being able to play all the classics from the past is enticing but Capcom will also be including quite a few extras as well.
In addition, it will offer players access to comprehensive galleries filled with Street Fighter art spanning three decades, along with a sprite viewer for those that want to take a more in-depth look at various characters from the games. There will also be a music player that will grant players access to an archive of music from the various titles in the series.
Capcom is claiming that these titles will all have "arcade perfect gameplay" and support for online battles in Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter II: Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Street Fighter III: Third Strike. The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection will arrive on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC sometime in May 2018.
