Students will get 3 months of free subscription to YouTube Music and Premium

Earlier last year, Google launched its very own premium music streaming service, YouTube Music. This was a revival of its previous service from 2014 which offered similar features. While there is a free version of YouTube Music, users still have to put up with ads. The ad-free variant, YouTube Music Premium, costs $9.99 per month.

A new campaign targeted at students was announced today, offering three months of free subscription to YouTube Music or YouTube Premium for new members.

Google"s YouTube Premium package includes ad-free access to YouTube, YouTube Music, offline downloads, and background play on both services. New members usually get one month of free trial membership after signing up. Just a few months ago, both services were expanded to more countries.

It must be noted that this "back to school" offer is only open to students and is only available in certain regions. More information about the three-month trial membership can be found here.
