Microsoft has announced the details of the annual Summer of Arcade line-up. The weekly releases will start on July 21st, and the games will be available for 1200 Microsoft points ($15 US) a piece. Buying three of the game will net a $5 rebate, while buying all five will result in a $15 rebate. This promotion has offered some great games in the past years, including the hit Shadow Complex last year, and there looks to be at least a couple high quality offerings this time around as well.
The games and release dates are:
Limbo (July 21st)
Limbo is a dark and highly stylized, indie-developed side scrolling platformer featuring a young boy on a journey to find his sister.
Hydro Thunder Hurricane (July 28th)
This follow-up to the classic boat racing arcade game will feature and HD graphical upgrade, and both single and mulltiplayer modes.
Castlevania: Harmony of Despair (August 4th)
People have been clamoring for a classic 2D Castlevania featuring HD graphics, and Harmony of Despair is set deliver. Multiplayer will also be present this time around.
Monday Night Combat (August 11th)
Monday Night Combat is a class-based multiplayer shooter set as a future sport.
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light (August 18th)
A whole new gameplay approach has Lara Croft fighting enemies and solving puzzles from an isometric, Diablo-inspired point of view.
