Earlier this week, AT&T announced that the Surface 3 with LTE would go on sale today and right on schedule, Microsoft has announced the availability of these devices along with a new partner, T-Mobile.
T-Mobile will begin selling the devices on July 31st but they will not be available in their retail shops. The announcement post states that the devices will be offered through the @Work channel by T-Mobile but consumers can buy a device through the Microsoft store and obtain a T-Mobile SIM and use it on their personal accounts too.
Microsoft has yet to update their website for ordering these devices.
For AT&T, the pricing is set at $399 with any Lumia smartphone purchased on AT&T Next; or you can buy the tablet for $0 down and $30 a month for 20 months - this comes to a total purchase price of $600.
The outright purchase price for the 64GB model is $599 and the 128GB version is $699 and an unlocked Surface 3 (4G LTE) will be available in the U.S. through Microsoft stores, authorized resellers and partner retailers in late August.
If you haven"t checked out our review of the Surface 3, in our time with the device, we believe that the third time really is the charm. And seeing that Windows 10 finally runs well on the tablet, if you need a Windows tablet with built-in 4G LTE connectivity, the Surface 3 is a good choice.
