Microsoft first announced the Surface Pro 3 on May 20, 2014. That means that the company has been supporting the Haswell-based tablet for nearly four and a half years. Surely, the company can be commended for supporting a device with new firmware for so long.
If you want to manually install the update, you can download the Surface Pro 3 drivers and firmware bundle here, which should be updated shortly. Otherwise, you can just grab it through Windows Update.
