Surface Pro rumored to be coming January 29th

We know that many of you are waiting for the Surface Pro and Microsoft has previously said that the device will be coming in January.

As soon as Microsoft made that statement many began wondering when the product would arrive and if a new rumor is to be believed, it looks like January 29th may be the day Microsoft pulls back the cover on the device with it going on sale on the following day.

The rumor was started by Softpedia who is citing sources close to Redmond, which we admit is a very odd way to say a source close to Microsoft as it sounds like they are physically close to the headquarters instead of having inside information, who claim the product will be unveiled on the 29th and go on-sale on the 30th.

No other information about how or where Microsoft will unveil the product was stated but seeing as they have been forward about the device with all of the specs revealed, we don"t expect them to hold a massive event like they did with the initial announcement.

Microsoft has previously announced that the Surface Pro, which will run Windows 8, will be priced starting at $899 when it comes out in January. That will be for the 64 GB version, while the 128 GB Surface Pro unit will be priced at $999; the prices do not include the Touch or Type covers.
