A few days after the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update was released, bringing Windows Mixed Reality to millions of users, Microsoft released a set of driver updates for its Surface Studio to support the new platform. Today though, those same drivers are being updated again.
Here"s the full changelog:
Windows Update History Name | Device Manager Name |
---|---|
Marvell Semiconductor, Inc. driver update for Marvell AVASTAR Bluetooth Radio Adapter | Marvell AVASTAR Bluetooth Radio Adapter - Bluetooth
|
NVIDIA – Display – 23.21.13.8795 | NVIDIA GeForce GTX driver - Display adapters
|
Marvell Semiconductor, Inc. driver update for Marvell AVASTAR Wireless-AC Network Controller | Marvell AVASTAR Wireless-AC Network Controller – Network adapters
|
As you can see, the changelog doesn"t say much about what"s included in the new versions. The version numbers of the drivers are all newer than the ones required to support Windows Mixed Reality. Presumably, these just improve upon the existing Mixed Reality support that was added last month.
According to Microsoft"s Value Indicator chart, these updates improve compatibility and performance, and they have no effect on security, reliability, connectivity, or battery life.
