Sway is Microsoft"s solution to those who want to create a presentation quickly and without much hassle. It has preset design and animations that have been designed to work (and scale) well on multiple screens, requiring you to only input your information and let the Sway engine do the rest.
The service, which Microsoft is aiming to be a companion to Powerpoint instead of a replacement, is now out of preview and can be used by anyone with a Microsoft account - for free. With general availability, Microsoft is going to start pushing it to all eligible Office 365 Home and Education users.
What"s more, the company released a Sway app yesterday but, unfortunately, it was still not functional at that time. Now, with the service coming out of preview, the company has activated the app on the backend and users can start using the app immediately. The app comes with improved functionality, too, as it can utilize your device"s camera to snap pictures and insert them directly into the presentation. Also, a local copy is now saved in the app for offline access. The recently updated Docs.com is fully integrated into the service, too, so you can easily share your content using the website.
You can grab the Windows 10 app here.
