If you’re a T-Mobile subscriber and using an iPhone you might have been experiencing some baffling problems during the past 24 hours and it looks like you’re not alone.
T-Mobile users from all over the place are venting their rage on social media channels as their iPhones have decided to go haywire. The glitches include random freezes and occasional restarts usually preceded by – hold on to your hats - a blue screen of death.
Obviously this isn’t the Windows/NT BSOD but it is indeed a flash of blue followed by restarts, reminiscent of the famous desktop error.
There’s no clear indication of what, exactly, is causing this, though according to MacRumors, recent devices like the iPhone 5S, 6 and 6 Plus seem to be the ones that are affected. Also noteworthy is that they’re running iOS 8.1 or 8.3.
Neither Apple nor T-Mobile have publicly explained what’s happening yet, though the carrier hinted it might be something to do with the phone’s memory. T-Mo suggested clearing old text messages, doing a hard reset or restoring the device to factory settings if all else fails. However, some users also reported improvements after turning off Wi-Fi calling.
