Today, T-Mobile announced its first 5G mobile hotspot, the Inseego MiFi M2000. You can finance the device for $14 a month, or you can pay the full price of $336, and it has the capability of connecting to up to 30 devices. The hotspot packs a 5,050 battery, a Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 modem, and it supports sub6 5G.
Perhaps more interesting, however, is the data plan that T-Mobile is announcing alongside it. For $50, you"ll get 100GB of hotspot data, compared to 5GB on Verizon and 15GB on AT&T. There are other plans, including $40 for 30GB (4GB on Verizon), $30 for 10GB, and so on.
Of course, T-Mobile touted how much larger and robust its 5G network is than its competitors. According to the Un-carrier, its 5G network is twice as big as AT&T"s, and 3.5 times as big as Verizon"s.
"Today’s news is another example of what you can do when you’re working to build the most powerful, highest capacity 5G network in the nation … you can take all that speed with you on your devices at unheard of prices. And it couldn’t come at a better time for millions in need of reliable, affordable connectivity," said Mike Sievert, President and CEO at T-Mobile. "We already cover more of the country with 5G than AT&T and Verizon combined — now we’re adding super-fast 5G on top at an absolutely blistering pace. Every month, we’re adding more Ultra Capacity 5G than Verizon has added in the last two years with Ultra Wideband. And we’re just getting started."
While the regular price for the Inseego 5G MiFi M2000 is $336, right now you can get it for 50% off. That means that you can finance it for $7 a month or own it outright for $168.
