Just one month ago, T-Mobile US launched the LG G6, priced at $650, including a free Google Home smart speaker hub. Now, the carrier has slashed the handset"s price, while continuing to offer the free speaker, worth $129, along with an additional freebie.
T-Mobile is currently offering the G6 for $500 - that"s $150 (23%) below its regular selling price. However, it also states the "purchase requires a SIM Starter Kit which will be added to your order automatically", bringing the cost up to $525.
The carrier is also offering a "free LG G Pad X" 8-inch tablet with the purchase - but there are a couple of things to be aware of.
First, the "free" tablet isn"t actually free at the time of purchase; instead, you"ll be able to claim the value of the tablet back via a rebate, receiving that amount "via a PrePaid MasterCard 6-8 weeks after validation". Second, to qualify for that offer, you"ll also have to buy the device "with at least a 2GB mobile internet plan". The deal is only available "for well qualified customers" who purchase the G6, or LG"s slightly older V20 flagship.
As you"d probably expect, various additional terms and conditions apply, but you can find answers to some frequently asked questions about the deal here. It"s not yet clear when the $150 discount on the G6 will end, so if you"re thinking of grabbing the handset at its lower price, it might be best not to wait too long.
