Usually the annual E3 trade show in Los Angeles is all about showing off console and PC games. However, as many of you know, more and more gamers are playing titles on mobile phones. T-Mobile knows this and has launched a contest designed to promote its own gaming-themed mobile phone and give two people a chance to attend E3 2011.
T-Mobile"s official blog site has the details on the contest which will officially begin on Sunday, May 15. On that day, gamers can create a 15 second video explaining why they should be the one that should go to E3 2011. The video can then be uploaded to T-Mobile"s Facebook page by May 25. The videos will then be voted on by T-Mobile Facebook users. The videos with the top 10 votes will then be judged by T-Mobile reps. The judges will pick the creators of two videos who will each win a trip to E3 from June 7-9.
T-Mobile is using the contest to promote its new T-Mobile G2x mobile phone. It"s an Android 2.2-based phone with a four inch screen and support for 4G network (where available of course). The G2x is a dual core-based smartphone with Nvidia"s Terga 2 graphics processor. The two winners of the E3 contest will also receive a G2x phone. While at E3 the winners will post updates on their experiences on T-Mobile"s Twitter and Facebook pages as well as "participate in a series of challenges determined by T-Mobile"s fans on the Battle for E3 Facebook page."
