Today, TCL announced the TAB, its first TCL-branded tablet. It"s an eight-inch FHD+ device that"s exclusive to Verizon, and yes, that means it has 4G LTE. All of that comes in at a price of $199.99.
On the inside, it"s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset, which has an octa-core CPU with four 2GHz cores and four 1.8GHz cores, and it has 3GB of RAM. It also offers 32GB of internal storage, although that"s expandable by up to 256GB. for the battery, it comes in at 5,500mAh, and TCL says that that will get you up to 17 hours of mixed usage.
"There has been a large increase in demand for affordable tablets capable of supporting in-home initiatives for learning and working, while also keeping the entire family entertained and connected," said Eric Anderson, Senior Vice President of TCL Communication, North America. "With the TCL TAB, we have engaged with Verizon to create an Android tablet that will provide family households with the network and tools necessary for both a productive and entertaining mobile experience."
The TCL TAB is available starting today, and it comes in Suede Black. Again, it costs $199.99, and it"s only available from Verizon.
