It was only a few months ago when TCL announced its latest BlackBerry handset, the KEYone, at Mobile World Congress 2017. As we head into this week, IFA will take place in Berlin, where many firms are expected to announce new handsets and devices. It appears that TCL has started a bit early, giving a press briefing as part of its press day event.
According to the firm, the BlackBerry KEYone has proved to be quite the success, with the inventory selling just as fast as it can be replenished. Because of this, the company has resorted to a staggered roll out of the device, making it a bit more manageable for it to keep up with demand. TCL wants to become the top manufacturer of Android devices for the enterprise market; currently, it is in 35 markets and hopes to be in 50 by the end of the year.
As the company rides the high of its success with the KEYone, it also revealed that it has plans to launch something new in October. While it did not give any sneak peeks, it did state that the device would not have a physical keyboard.
