TCL debuted the TCL 10 series of smartphones earlier this year with the TCL 10 Pro and TCL 10L, plus the yet-unreleased TCL 10 5G. Today, in a presentation focused specifically on the Portuguese market, the company announced the next expansion of the TCL 10 series with the TCL 10 Plus and TCL 10 SE.
The company continues touting its "Display Greatness" slogan, and both phones feature its NXTVISION display technology, with HDR support and features such as SDR to HDR conversion.
The more interesting of the two devices is the TCL 10 Plus, which is somewhere in between the TCL 10 Pro and 10L from earlier in the year. It features the same Snapdragon 665 as the latter, and that"s backed up by either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage. It also has a 4,500 mAh battery that supports 18W charging and 5W reverse wired charging.
The display is borrowed from the TCL 10 Pro, with a 6.47-inch curved AMOLED panel with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080) resolution a traditional, centered notch. The design is also similar to that phone, with a matte-finish glass back and a similar layout for the rear camera setup. However, that camera setup is more similar to the TCL 10L, with a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP depth camera, and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, there"s a 16MP selfie camera.
The TCL 10 Plus is already available in Portugal and it costs €399.99 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, or €349.99 with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Other configurations should be available when it launches elsewhere, with TCL saying the base configurations are 6GB+64GB and 6GB+256GB, while others may vary by country. It comes in Moonlight Blue and Starlight Silver color options.
The TCL 10 SE, on the other hand, is the cheapest in the company"s lineup so far. It comes with a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset, making it the first TCL 10-series smartphone without a Snapdragon chipset, and it has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The battery is 4,000 mAh, and it charges at up to 15W, with reverse wired charging also supported.
The display is a 6.52-inch LCD panel at HD+ (1600 x 720) resolution with a centered notch housing an 8MP camera (for European markets), or a 13MP camera in Latin America, Middle East, and Africa markets. The design itself is more reminiscent of the TCL 10L, but the rear camera setup only has three cameras, with a 48MP main sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.
The TCL 10 SE is also available in Portugal right now, costing €249.99. It"s available in Icy Silver and Polar Night color options.
TCL also plans to release the TCL 10 5G later this year, with a Portuguese launch happening in partnership with carriers such as Vodafone.
