After approximately five months, Telegram for Windows phones has been updated to version 2.0 bringing with it a fresh user interface and the ability to delete messages for everyone among other things.
The situation was getting a bit worrisome for Telegram users on the Windows Phone platform because month after month was dragging on with no sign of new updates for the app. In fact, the last time the app had received an update was way back in November 2016. Several weeks ago, we found out that work was underway on an updated app and today it has finally been released.
The update introduces features which have been present on Android and iOS for a little while; these features include the ability to delete recently sent messages for everyone, and the option to pin important chats to the top of your list so you always have them on hand.
The other additions users will notice include the revamped user interface which matches Windows 10 Mobile style guidelines but also looks a lot more familiar to the app that Android owners are used to. The other inclusion is interactive notification support which lets users reply to messages without having to load the entire application.
