Telltale Games is quite well-known for developing narrative-rich games that focus on multi-layered characters, intense plotlines and tough decisions. Popular titles from the company"s massive catalog of games include The Walking Dead, Batman, Game of Thrones, The Wolf Among Us, and Tales from the Borderlands.
Today, Telltale Games has taken to YouTube to announce three new seasons for its current titles. You can check out the trailers and some commentary from the developers and voice actors for each of the upcoming seasons below:
The first in the list is the second season of Batman. Batman - The Telltale Series" premier season made its way to fans of DC"s iconic character back in 2016. We reviewed the title near year"s end and awarded it an "Amazing - 9.5/10" rating, praising it for the ability to play as Bruce Wayne coupled with some incredibly-difficult decisions.
Fans of the series will be happy to know that Telltale is promising more of the same, with a focus on the ability to make decisions as Bruce Wayne, as well as revealing the plans of major villains including John Doe / The Joker - whose character was set up in the first season - and The Riddler. The first episode of the second season will make its way to gamers on August 8.
Additionally, Telltale Games announced the fourth and final season of The Walking Dead. While the company didn"t give away much in terms of story, it did mention that the character of Clementine would be returning. The Walking Dead is the company"s flagship series, which helped put the firm on the map. Although a firm date for the final season"s premier hasn"t been revealed, it is slated for a release in 2018. The company has not yet made clear whether it will continue to release spin-off titles such as The Walking Dead: Michonne.
Lastly, another fan-favorite title, The Wolf Among Us, is also getting a new season. Popular voice actors and characters - such as Adam Harrington playing the role of Bigby Wolf - are set to return for the sequel. The company has promised an all-new story and mystery, thanking fans and saying that the "second season is happening because of you". Once again, the main conflict for the next season hasn"t been hinted at, but it is slated for a release in 2018. We"ll likely learn more at the San Diego Comic-Con in a few days.
