Arnold is back for Atari"s second whack at a game based on the cybernetic blockbuster.
Given Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" horrific reception last year, many wondered why Atari would make another game based on the Arnold Schwarzenegger film of the same name. But make it they did, and today, Terminator 3: The Redemption shipped to stores. Available for the Xbox, GameCube, and PlayStation 2, the game is rated "T" for Teen and retails for $39.99.
Like the earlier game, Redemption is based loosely on the plot of the film Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Once again, players step into the cybernetic endoskeleton of a T-800 terminator voiced by the Governator himself. The game blends the third-person shooter, rail shooter, and driving genres, incorporating each style of gameplay at different times. It also lets players go back to the future from whence the Terminators came, and it even has a "surprise ending" that sets up a fourth film in the series, should there be one.
