Tesla's $50 "Cyberwhistle" sold out hours after reveal

Eccentric entrepreneur Elon Musk has a knack for hyping arguably odd products to the masses via his social media accounts. A recent example is The Boring Company"s "Not-A-Flamethrower", which ended up selling 20,000 units. Yet another is Musk"s frequent tweets regarding Dogecoin which results in significant fluctuations in the cryptocurrency"s value.

The Tesla executive recently took to Twitter to reveal a "Cyberwhistle" that he joked can be used to "blow the whistle on Tesla". It"s essentially just a collectible whistle made out of stainless steel, with a design inspired by the Tesla Cybertruck. Oh, and it also carries a $50 price tag. Here"s the official description of the Cyberwhistle from Tesla"s website:

Inspired by Cybertruck, the limited-edition Cyberwhistle is a premium collectible made from medical-grade stainless steel with a polished finish. The whistle includes an integrated attachment feature for added versatility.

Hours after announcement, the product is already sold out, but we don"t know how many units were actually in stock. As of now, users are being asked to sign up for an email notification that will inform them when the Cyberwhistle is back in stock.

To be fair, it"s not strange for companies to be releasing relatively expensive collectible items or even everyday use items. Apple"s $19 Polishing Cloth is actually backordered well into 2022, a fact that Elon Musk seems to be well aware of. You can head over to the dedicated webpage here in order to be notified about the restocking of the $50 Tesla Cyberwhistle.
