While the HTC One M9 was announced over two years ago, it"s still on the list of devices that HTC promised a Nougat upgrade for. The firm began rolling out the update to unlocked variants of the device in the US back in December. T-Mobile followed suit in March, with Sprint pushing it out in April.
But today, over five months after the update began rolling out and over a year since the handset received its last major software update, the AT&T variant of the HTC One M9 is receiving Android 7.0 Nougat. The new software version is 4.27.502.7, and in order to receive it, you must be on 3.38.502.41.
As we noted last month when Sprint users got it, this update comes with the February security update, rather than the May update, or even April"s or March"s. In fact, Android 7.0 isn"t even the latest version of Nougat, which would be 7.1 and is installed on just 0.5% of Google Play devices.
Google"s I/O 2017 developer conference is slated to kick off tomorrow, where the company is expected to tell us more about the next major update to its mobile OS, Android O.
