Just yesterday, we wrote about how the Lumia 650 and 735 were removed from the online Microsoft Store. Today, yet another one of the company"s devices has been taken down, the AT&T-locked variant of the Lumia 640 XL.
This is a bit of an odd turn of events. While the Lumia 640 XL was the oldest Lumia to be found on the Store, as of this morning, it sat alongside the white AT&T Lumia 950 as one of the only two of Microsoft"s handsets in stock.
What"s a bit more of a mystery is that the unlocked model remains, although it"s not included on the page for all Windows phones. As previously noted, it"s currently out of stock, but you can check out the listing here, as the stock does seem to be replenished from time to time.
This leaves just four Lumias left in the Microsoft Store: the Lumia 550, 950, AT&T 950, and 950 XL. Out of those, the white model of the AT&T Lumia 950 is all that"s in stock. Of course, there are any number of third-party sites that you can grab these phones from, and AT&T still sells both colors of the 950.
Over in the UK, the only models you"ll find are the Lumia 640 XL LTE, 650, 950, and 950 XL. In fact, the 550 was just removed yesterday, so there doesn"t seem to be any relation between what gets removed over there and what happens in the US. Of course, all Lumias in the UK are sold out.
The listing for the AT&T Lumia 640 XL could be found here; however, it now simply displays a message that says, "This product is currently unavailable."
