The Coalition announces the $1,000,000 Gears eSports Pro Circuit

The launch of Gears of War 4 isn"t too far away. Slated for an October 11, 2016 release, Microsoft and developer The Coalition are placing a lot of emphasis on the Xbox-exclusive Gears of War 4 by designing limited edition controllers and Xbox One S consoles with Gears graphics. With all of the fanfare already surrounding this gritty shooter, The Coalition wanted to make sure they had the attention of gamers around the world. What better way to do that than by offering up loads of money?

Starting this October, The Coalition will be running the "Gears eSports Pro Circuit" in partnership with pro gaming event coordinators MLG and Gfinity to bring competitive Gears of War 4 play to various parts of the world. The Gears eSports Pro Circuit can be experienced both online and at designated locations once Gears of War 4 has launched on Xbox One and Windows 10. To entice stiff competition, there will be cash prizes at each official event which will combine for a total of $1,000,000 across all of the tournaments.

If you"re interested in participating in these amateur and pro-level LAN tournaments, the circuit will be held in the cities of Columbus (USA), London (UK), Mexico City (MX), Paris (FR), as well as Las Vegas (USA). The first tournament kicks off in November of this year in Columbus, OH. The Coalition, along with MLG and Gfinity, anticipate this pro circuit to last through the summer of 2017. To see a list of the prize pools and team details at each event, see the chart below.
