The Crew 2 to enter open beta on June 21, one week before the game launches

Announced at E3 last year, The Crew 2 was originally meant to release in March 2018, but the company ended up delaying the game by a few months. The launch is finally happening by the end of the month on June 29, but those interested will be able to test out their driving skills in the game"s open beta which starts on June 22 and runs through June 25.

The beta includes the entire open world of the full game, which is a replica of all of the United States with nine major cities and seven different regions, and it allows players to make their way through the first two ranks of the game"s progression system, which seems to be the only major limitation compared to the full game.

You"ll be able to compete in events and unlock new content in the beta, and multiplayer support is also included, allowing you to team up with three friends in a cooperative mode.

A special event will also be running during the open beta period, where 16 players from around the U.S. will compete to be crowned King of the Road Trip. The competition will be live streamed on the game"s official channels on Twitch, Youtube, and Facebook Live on June 22 from 1pm to 5pm Pacific Time.

Once the beta period ends on June 25 (at 1am Pacific Time), those who buy the Gold Edition of the game won"t have to wait as long to play, as it becomes playable the next day. Three days after that, on June 29, The Crew 2 will be available for everyone on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You can sign up for the open beta here and, if you"re playing on PC, be sure to check out the recommended specs to run the game.
