Ubisoft has released a new trailer for The Division 2, this time focusing on the game"s story, detailing the terrors caused by survivor factions after a virus outbreak that afflicted the country. The plot focuses on attempts to re-establish order amidst a borderline civil war. But the bigger news of today is the announcement of dates for the private beta for the title.
The beta will launch on February 7 and run until February 10 (February 11 in Europe), over a month prior to the launch of the game, and users can sign up now for the chance to try it. While anyone can sign up through the game"s website, be it on PC, PlayStation 4, or Xbox One, it"s not guaranteed that you"ll be chosen to participate.
There is a way you can ensure that you get to try out the game before it launches, though - anyone who pre-orders the title will automatically be part of the beta. You can pre-order the game right now on your preferred platform through Ubisoft"s website.
The Division 2 officially launches on March 15 on the platforms mentioned above. If you"re playing on PC, you may want to check out the minimum and recommended requirements to run the game, which Ubisoft announced last week. It"s also worth noting that the game will be available through the Epic Games Store instead of Steam.
