One day after the announcement that the Elder Scrolls franchise was going to come to the MMO game space, Bethesda Softworks has released a teaser trailer for The Elder Scrolls Online. The trailer pretty much reveals nothing about the game but does have a good British-sounding narrator taking about how darkness is growing and ancient enemies are banning together. It will apparently take many heroes, not just one, to defeat this threat.
Even though the trailer didn"t reveal much, quite a few details on the game have been announced in the latest Game Informer print magazine. A post on the NeoGAF message boards talks what was revealed in the article. We won"t go over everything that"s mentioned but there is word that the game will be a third person title, unlike the previous single player Elder Scrolls entrys which are designed to mostly be first person games. Like Star Wars: The Old Republic, all of the characters in The Elder Scrolls Online will be fully voice acted.
The team at developer Zenimax Online Studios, which has 250 people on board, has been working on the game since 2007. The Elder Scrolls Online is scheduled to launch sometime in 2013 for the PC and Mac platforms.
