The Exchange opens pre-orders for the Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition

It was in June that Microsoft finally took the lid off of its new console, the Xbox One X in full, after teasing it as Project Scorpio since 2016. Lo and behold the moniker would see a return a couple months later at gamescom 2017 when the firm would announce the limited edition variant of the console dubbed the Project Scorpio Edition.

It wouldn"t take long for pre-orders of the console to sell out, with Microsoft stating that it was "the fastest-selling Xbox pre-order ever". While you might have missed your chance, those that are in the military and veterans might have another option if they want to secure the Project Scorpio Edition. The Exchange website, which is for those currently or previously in the service, has now made the coveted console available for pre-order for $499.

Furthermore, it looks like a coupon code can be applied that will knock 15 percent off the retail price, bringing it down to $414.25, which is pretty good considering that items purchased from The Exchange online or retail locations don"t get charged tax. As mentioned before, this is only for those that are currently active in the military or veterans. If you don"t qualify, you can still order the standard edition from Best Buy and GameStop.
