If you are a lifelong Samsung Android user, you might not know this, but the navigation buttons on your devices have actually been in reverse order from what is considered "normal". Yes, that means that all this time, the firm has placed the back button on the right and the recent apps button on the left, when they should"ve been flipped. Naturally, the comfort of the configuration is a matter of opinion, but those that have cursed the setup will now have the option to change that setting with the newly announced Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.
Since the Galaxy S8 and S8+ handsets have lost their physical buttons (present on previous iterations), users will now have the option of choosing what configuration is best for them. You can see this being shown off in Michael Fischer"s Mr. Mobile video, at the three minute and ten second mark down below.
Naturally, if you have been a lifelong Samsung user, you"ll probably stick with the standard setup, but it"s good to know that you"ll now have a choice. The Galaxy S8 and S8+ will make their way to carriers in the US starting in mid-April, with the S8 being priced at $749.99, and the S8+ at $849.99. As of today, you can start pre-ordering the handset from various US carriers with added perks like a free Gear VR.
