The Moto G5 subjected to durability test and can take the punishment

It was a little over a month ago that Motorola unveiled its latest handsets, the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Now that the handsets have started trickling out to retailers and carriers worldwide, it would seem particularly important to find out just how reliable these handsets really are.

Per usual, the YouTube channel JerryRigEverything has gone through its reliability testing, offering up the Moto G5 as its test subject. While the G-series has been constructed of plastic in the past, the new model changes things a bit by including some metal in its back plate. This back plate is removable, making it easy to access and replace the battery if necessary. The front display is fairly resistant to scratches, with the device, as a whole, being relatively well constructed, surviving the bend test.
