The Moto G8 is official with a Snapdragon 665, three cameras, and more

Today, Motorola announced the Moto G8, just about four weeks after it announced the Moto G Stylus and Moto G Power. Indeed, there are conflicting branding decisions being made there, but that"s how it is for now.

The Moto G8 is definitely part of the same product family though, including the same Snapdragon 665 chipset and 4GB RAM. However, while the G8 has the same 6.4-inch size screen as the Stylus and the Power, it actually has a lower resolution at 1560x720, for a 268ppi pixel density.

While the upper mid-range chipset should provide some pretty solid performance, it also comes with a triple-lens rear camera. There"s a 16MP f/1.7 main sensor with laser autofocus, and an eight-megapixel 118-degree ultra-wide sensor. There"s also a two-megapixel macro lens that promises to let you get five times closer to your subject than with a normal lens.

The Moto G8 also comes with a 4,000mAh battery, with Motorola promising up to 40 hours of usage on a single charge. It also has 64GB of on-board storage, along with microSD support for up to 512GB.

Unfortunately, you won"t be able to buy it in the U.S.; there, your options are the Moto G Stylus and Moto G Power. The Moto G8 is available today in Brazil, and it will be available in the coming weeks in Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Australia.
