The Nintendo Switch's bundled Joy-Con Grip won't charge Joy-Con controllers

Although Nintendo held its Switch Presentation a few days ago, there is still more news emerging in regards to its upcoming titles, the new online platform, and accessories. While the core Switch bundle seems to include everything you would need to start playing, it appears that some are up in arms in regards to the included Joy-Con Grip.

If unfamiliar, the Switch will come bundled with all of the above for $299.99. It includes everything that you would need to start playing like the console, the charging dock with HDMI output, Joy-Con controllers, wrist straps, and the added Joy-Con Grip. The Joy-Con Grip is important because it transforms the unique Joy-Con controllers into something that resembles a more traditional gamepad.

Joy-Con Charging Grip

While it seems like a fairly nice bundle, it appears that some are up in arms in regards to the included Joy-Con Grip that won"t charge the Joy-Cons. Instead, users will need to attach the peripherals to the console and dock it to charge or purchase the Joy-Con Charging Grip for $29.99. Although this might be a problem to some, it seems that Nintendo is being fairly generous, when you consider that the original Wii didn"t even include a charging dock or other extra peripherals when purchased. Also keep in mind that Joy-Cons on their own will last up to 20 hours.
