The Nokia 6 unofficially arrives in the Philippines with a $100 markup, and sells out

The Nokia 6 made its debut earlier in the month and proved to be an astounding success after selling out in just a minute. While HMD Global didn"t announce official plans to expand the handset to other regions, it appears a third party retailer is ready to provide the Philippines with the some Nokia love.

Although the Nokia 6 isn"t the most powerful handset on the market, it offers a slick design and is priced fairly. For those that are not in China, there really aren"t any official channels to purchase the handset just yet. For those in the Philippines, Lazada Southeast Asia, a third party retailer, did offer the handset for purchase, albeit with a significant markup of $100 USD. But despite the price bump from the original 1,699 CNY (roughly $250 USD) , it appears that eager shoppers were not deterred as the device is now sold out.

Nokia 6 full specifications:

  • 5.5-inch 1080p IPS LCD display
  • Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC
  • 4GB RAM
  • 64GB storage with microSD expansion

  • Fingerprint sensor
