Today, AT&T announced that it will begin selling the Razer Phone 2 on Friday, November 16. This is the first time that a handset from Razer will be sold on a major U.S. carrier.
Just like everything that Razer makes, the handset is built for gamers, with a 120Hz QHD display. Unlike its competitors, the screen is still 16:9 and it keeps its bezels, allowing for front-facing speakers. The firm also says that it"s the first phone that"s certified for both Netflix for HDR and Dolby Surround 5.1.
The Razer Phone 2 also has Chrome RGB lighting on the back. Users can adjust how it cycles through colors, and it can also light up for notifications. Colors for notifications coincide with colors for an app, so Teams notifications are purple, Outlook notifications are blue, Gmail notifications are red, etc. And the back is glass, so it supports wireless charging now as well, and Razer"s Qi charger supports Chroma lighting as well, which will also work with notifications.
With the Razer Phone 2 from AT&T, the carrier won"t be installing any additional apps, so there"s no bloatware if you buy the carrier model. You can pick one up on Friday starting at $26.67 a month for 30 months on AT&T Next.
