The Sims 4 is free to claim on Origin for seven days

EA no longer hosts the Origin store"s On the House promotion, but a giveaway has still materialized today. The Sims 4, the most recent entry to the massively successful life simulation series, has been made completely free to claim on the store for the next week.

Released in 2014, the Maxis developed title has players doing the usual antics when it comes to a Sims game. Players can choose or create their own Sims and go on to control their whole lives, from individuals to entire generations of families, while also building up the world.

This giveaway is only for The Sims 4 base game, so there"s quite a lot of content available for purchase as expansions and DLC, which add new careers, destinations, pets, seasons, and other features.

The Sims 4 is playable on both Windows as well as macOS, and a free copy can now be claimed by going to its Origin store page. The promotion will be running until May 28, on which the price will return to $39.99. Note that there currently seem to be some issues with claiming the giveaway through the Origin client, so it"s better to grab it using a browser instead.

Meanwhile, there"s a couple of freebies available to grab on Steam as well. Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition is once again free to claim, while Codemasters is giving Grid 2 away for free celebrating the announcement of a new entry to the series.
