The Steam Intergalactic Summer Sale launches with chances to win free games

Just as expected, the annual Steam Summer Sale has blasted off offering thousands of discounted games, and there"s even a brand new mini-game for players to spend their time on for a chance to win free games.

The sale offers games from major publishers and indie developers alike, with today"s highlighted deals including the Fallout franchise, PlayerUnknown"s Battlegrounds, Tyranny, and many more. Since daily deals are a thing of the past, all discounts will remain the same throughout the sale.

Also just as expected, the servers are struggling under the massive amount of people trying to look at all the ways they can shrink their wallets, so be aware that the store might be a bit wobbly for the first few hours.

The new Saliens mini-game can be played by going over here, which tasks players with saving "abducted games" from a race of aliens named The Duldrumz. Players who participate will be entered into a draw to win games that they chose while playing. The full list of games that can be won is posted over here.

The Intergalactic Summer Sale will be running until July 5, giving PC gamers two whole weeks to decide on what to spend on. Be sure to tune into our Weekend PC Game Deals feature on Saturday to check out our recommendations and highlights from the sale.
