Today, TCL announced the 10 5G UW, a new handset that"s coming to Verizon. Moreover, it"s the cheapest 5G handset to come to the carrier at $399.
The handset includes a Snapdragon 765 chipset, which is pretty high end considering the price point. It also comes with 6GB RAM, 128GB of storage, a 6.53-inch FHD+ 19.5:9 display, and a 4,500mAh battery. For the camera, there"s a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP macro lens.
"Following the successful launches of the TCL 10 Pro and 10L in North America earlier this year, we’ve created a smartphone capable of tapping into the power of next-generation connectivity at less than half the cost of most 5G-enabled flagships," said Eric Anderson, Senior Vice President of TCL Communication, North America. "We’ve worked hand in hand with Verizon to ensure more consumers nationwide have access to super-fast download speeds, ultra-low lag streaming and seamless interaction with their smartphone, all on a beautiful, affordable device."
Like all of Verizon"s 5G devices, the TCL 10 5G UW supports both mmWave and sub6 5G. That means that while most of the time you"ll connect to Verizon"s nationwide sub6 network, you"ll also be able to tap into the fast mmWave speeds that you can get in very select areas.
The TCL 10 5G UW arrives on Verizon this Thursday, October 29, and it"s going to cost $399.99.
