Telltale"s The Walking Dead: The Final Season is now pretty much confirmed to be back from the grave, as its new owners, Skybound Games, has announced that development on the remaining two episodes has finally resumed.
Skybound Games is a studio under The Walking Dead original co-creator Robert Kirkman, which came to the rescue of the episodic series" finale when Telltale Games began shutting its doors earlier this year.
The good news also extends to original developers who were working on the finale before being unceremoniously let go, as the announcement revealed that "many of the talented, passionate team members" from Telltale have been hired to resume work on the project.
The interruption in development has obviously pushed back the initial release schedules of the Final Season"s remaining episodes, but new launch plan announcements are said to be arriving soon. The studio also confirmed that those who"ve already purchased the game won"t have to reach for their wallets again for the two upcoming episodes, with downloads being available as soon as they release.
Telltale Games, on the other hand, is currently going through liquidation processes, and sadly, some of the studio"s games have begun disappearing off digital stores. However, previous The Walking Dead games of Telltale that were delisted are slated to reappear as soon as Skybound concludes the transition procedures.
