It has been a couple weeks since the announcement of the Xbox One X at E3 2017. While there are a lot of details that are available on the console and some of its games, there are still some finer ones that haven"t been disclosed.
According to the online publication Stevivor, the upcoming console will be the only model that can download 4K assets for compatible games. The download of assets is apparently tied to the console and not simply in terms of output resolution. That means that even with you have an Xbox One S hooked up to 4K display, it will still be downloading the 1080p assets and up-scaling them.
Luckily, for those that aren"t interested in the latest and greatest - you"ll still be able to enjoy all of the upcoming titles on the Xbox One and Xbox One S. While they aren"t currently on sale, you can pick up a refurbished Xbox One from the Microsoft Store for $179 or the Xbox One S Minecraft bundle for $249. The Xbox One X will arrive to retail on November 7 and will have a price tag of $499.
