These Arcade1Up reproduction cabinets offer modern niceties while reliving gaming's past

If you"ve been wanting a reproduction arcade cabinet for your home, your time is now, as Tastemakers is now offering up its first wave of Arcade1Up reproduction arcade cabinets.

Each unit will stand at just under four feet, have 17-inch high-resolution displays, original arcade controls and button configurations, and will produce "authentic sounds" with volume adjustments. If you want to elevate the experience, you"ll also be able to purchase add-on components like stools and risers.

There will be five different cabinets that will be available starting in the fall. You can pre-order the cabinets from GameStop, Walmart, and Bed Bath & Beyond. You can see the cabinet choices below.

Atari’s Centipede Cabinet:

Centipede, Millipede, Missile Command, Crystal Castles

Atari’s Asteroids Cabinet:

Asteroids, Tempest, Major Havoc, Lunar Lander

Midway’s Rampage Cabinet:

Rampage, Defender, Joust, Gauntlet

Capcom"s Street Fighter II Championship Cabinet:

Street Fighter II Championship, Super Street Fighter II New Challenger, Super Street Fighter II Turbo

Capcom"s Final Fight Cabinet:

Final Fight, 1944: The Loop Master, Ghosts N’ Goblins, Strider

Perhaps the only drawback of these reproduction units is that they won"t be cheap. Each unit will offer a few games and will be priced at $399. Fortunately, you"ll have quite some time to make a decision, as the cabinets will be available starting on September 25.
