Today, Apple held its event in New York, debuting a new MacBook Air, iPad Pro, and Mac mini. Along with its presentation, the company also shared new promotional videos for each of its products, which can now be found on the company"s YouTube page.
For most of its new products, Apple has two videos, one being a promotional video, while the other is an introduction to the product, detailing the design, construction, and specifications. The latest MacBook Air gets an updated Retina Display and 8th Generation Intel processor.
The MacBook Air also utilizes Apple"s T2 chip for security and offers a Touch ID sensor, making logging into the laptop and purchasing things online, simple. The newly redesigned butterfly keyboard offers better responsiveness when compared to its previous iterations and is paired with a large Force Touch trackpad. Apple is proud that its outer chassis of the MacBook Air is made from 100 percent recycled aluminum.
The Mac mini makes its debut, offering a similar design to previous models, but updates the internals with Intel"s 8th Generation processors, more RAM, and SSD storage. Since there is more power, Apple has made use of a new ventilation system that will keep things cool inside the compact PC. Those that need ports will have plenty, with the PC offering four USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports and two USB 3 ports.
Last but certainly not least, Apple"s iPad Pro which comes with a new design that removes the physical home button and gives users more screen real estate. The tablet is powered by the company"s A12X Bionic chipset and comes with 11-inch and 12.9-inch Liquid Retina displays, offering Apple"s with ProMotion and True Tone technology. Since the home button has been removed, it has now been replaced with Face ID. But unlike the iPhone, the Face ID camera will be able to unlock the device no matter its orientation.
The Apple Pencil also gets updated, being able to magnetically connect to the top of the iPad Pro and wirelessly charge. It will also have a cylindrical touch sensor that will allow users to change options for the Pencil just by tapping it. Perhaps best of all, the new iPad Pro will make use of USB-C, which can be used to charge, output to a monitor, or even charge another device. Lastly, there will be a new keyboard accessory for the updated iPad Pro.
If interested in any of the new models above, you can head to the Apple website to pre-order. If you missed Apple"s keynote, it has now been posted online for viewing. The MacBook Air, Mac mini, and iPad Pro will be available on November 7.
