Sony"s PlayStation press event tonight in New York City, where the company is expected to officially reveal the first details on its next-generation PlayStation 4 game console, will apparently feature appearances by quite a few third party game developers. Many of them have been spotted in NYC already, and some have indicated they are headed to the city on their Twitter accounts.
Polygon reports that Bungie music composer Marty O"Donnell was spotted coming out of the unnamed NYC venue last night, the same location where the event will take place at 6 p.m. Eastern time. Bungie just revealed the first small details about its next game, the sci-fi shooter Destiny. In addition, there are reports that Mark Rein, vice president of Epic Games, has also been spotted in NYC. Epic currently only has one announced game that"s in the works, Fortnite, and Epic"s said that game is a PC exclusive.
Jonathan Morin, the lead designer of Ubisoft"s open world action game Watch Dogs, posted on Twitter that he is in NYC at the moment. Watch Dogs was first announced at E3 2012 and it"s looking like it might be coming to Sony"s next PlayStation console. Quantic Dream CEO Guillaume de Fondaumiere also used Twitter to tease that he is coming to NYC. Quantic Dream announced Beyond: Two Worlds in 2012 as a PlayStation 3 game, so it sounds like the game might show up on the PS4 as well.
There are also rumors that Sony might have a PS4 God of War reveal at the event. God of War Ascension, the latest game in Sony Santa Monica"s long running action series, is due for release on the PS3 in March.
