A few hours ago, Apple sent out invites for its upcoming event on September 12, where it is expected to announce three new iPhone X-inspired handsets, a new Apple Watch, and more. Now, it looks like our first look at what is being called the "iPhone XS" might have been revealed.
The image above comes courtesy of 9to5Mac, and reportedly features both the 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch OLED iPhones that will be officially announced in a few days. The handsets look quite similar to the iPhone X, and will come in a gold color option this time around as well. As per previous reports, both new models seem to offer a notched, bezel-less display. The third iPhone, said to sport a 6.1-inch display is not featured in the image.
Just to clarify, the above image is not a fan render, and seems to be legitimate. However, there"s not much else that can be ascertained from it at the time. It does seem quite likely that the two variants displayed will be named the iPhone XS, although it hasn"t been confirmed as of yet. Industry insiders have also suggested that two of the three Apple handsets to be revealed this year could support the Apple Pencil - possibly the ones showcased above.
Interestingly, the upcoming refresh of the Apple Watch has just been revealed by the same source as well, featuring an edge-to-edge display and a new watch face. In any case, we"ll know for sure how many of the alleged details turn out to be the real deal on September 12.
