Tinder is a dating app that gives you access to millions of potential connections and makes it as simple as just swiping right on a profile image. But for the "elite" there is something special, a members-only version dubbed "Tinder Select".
According to the folks at TechCrunch, Tinder has been testing the members-only offering for the past six months. Unlike the standard Tinder app that hosts millions of profiles, Tinder Select is a bit more particular and caters to those that are considered to be in the upper echelon of society like CEOs, celebrities, and the affluent. In order to participate, one must be either invited by Tinder or have an invitation from someone already using the app. The catch with invitations though is that those that were invited from another user cannot invite others.
While most will not care about getting into a "secret" dating pool, it will be interesting to see whether this is merely just a test for a larger roll out in the future or if indeed this is just a specialized app that will cater to the one percent.
