It has been recently rumored that HMD Global will be holding an event at the end of the week. Apparently, it won"t be its high-end Nokia 10 that will make its debut but will instead be a new entry into its Android X-series, which was first showcased in 2014.
HMD Global has been keeping its name in the spotlight under the Nokia moniker by releasing handsets quite frequently. Over the past year, it has fleshed out its catalog and now, it appears that its latest will be announced on April 27. While the full details aren"t clear, the updated Nokia X6 is expected to arrive with a 5.8-inch notched display and a 19:9 aspect ratio.
There could be two variants, one powered by a MediaTek P60, while the other will utilize a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor. The MediaTek variant will have 4GB RAM, while the Snapdragon unit will have 6GB RAM. As far as its camera goes, it will have a dual camera stacked vertically and could carry the Carl Zeiss branding.
If the leaked render is accurate, this looks like quite a beautiful device. However, some might have thoughts with regards to the display"s cutout. The Nokia X6 is expected to arrive with Android 8.0 Oreo and could be priced starting at ¥1599. If the rumors are accurate, we will only have to wait a few days to hear all the details.
