The Xiaomi Mi MIX made its debut late last year and took many by surprise with its near bezel-less display and top-end specifications. While there weren"t many like it in 2016, this year, things have changed, with many different companies offering their own take on the look. If a new concept render is any indication, it looks like Xiaomi will be once again, be taking things to a new level.
French designer Philippe Starck, who was involved in the design of the first Mi MIX, has posted a short film on his Facebook page that shows off a conceptual design of the Mi MIX 2. As you can see, if this design comes to fruition, Xiaomi will have expanded its near bezel-less design, minimizing the bottom chin to a svelte border. According to a report from earlier this year, the successor should arrive with a 93 percent screen-to-body ratio, which is a tiny bump from last year"s 91.3 percent and will still utilize a ceramic material for its outer body. Unfortunately, that is pretty much the extent of what is known at this time with its internal specifications, like the processor, RAM and other components, remaining a mystery.
While an official date for release hasn"t been announced, hopefully, it will arrive to market soon, and be more widely available to those outside of Asia this go-around.
