TigerDirect to sell their last HP TouchPads later today

Last week, HP told its customers that it no longer had any more of its canceled WebOS-based TouchPad tablets available to sell. Later, Best Buy revealed that it had some TouchPads it was willing to unload to customers, but only if they also bought an HP desktop or notebook.

Now it turns out there"s yet another small amount of the 32 GB versions of the TouchPads that will go on sale later today. The TigerDirect has posted up a countdown page that will reach zero at 2:30 pm Eastern Time and at that time the sale will go live. TigerDirect has not indicated just how many of the TouchPads they will have available.

As with the Best Buy deal, TigerDirect is still forcing you to purchase some additional items in order to get its TouchPad, However, in this case the bundle deal is a little more understandable. In addition to the tablet, TigerDirect is offering a tablet case and stand, both by Belkin, along with some Bluetooth-based speakers from Creative Labs and a 16 GB USB Flash drive from HP.

The entire bundle is priced at $279.99, which is $130 more than what HP was selling the 32 GB TouchPad for back in mid-August when it canceled the tablet. All in all, it"s not a bad bundle deal and people will certainly use at least the case and stand with the TouchPad. Again, this sale is not live yet so come back at 2:30 pm Eastern time for your chance at owning some history.
